UNMAKE // REMAKE is the end-of-year exhibition from the MA Sustainable Design course at the University of Brighton. Showcasing both final projects and works-in-progress, the exhibition highlights how design can be used to question, challenge, and reimagine the systems shaping everyday lives, from the climate crisis to social justice and the futures of care.
Students from diverse backgrounds have developed projects that bring together critical thinking, creative practice, and research-led experimentation. Together, their work reflects the course’s focus on interdisciplinarity, innovation, and impact.
Visitors are invited to experience how unmaking can become the first step toward remaking — opening up fresh ideas, new conversations, and practical responses to some of today’s most pressing challenges.
The MA in Sustainable Design is a future-focused, research-led course that empowers students to address the complex challenges of sustainability through critical design thinking and practice. With a strong emphasis on collaboration, innovation, and social impact, the course prepares graduates to lead in the evolving field of sustainable design.
